James, Martin Dallmeier
February 4th 1945 - September 28th 2005
James Martin Dallmeier, a native of California born 02/04/45, died at his home on 09/28/05. Jim is survived by his Daughter Elaine, Son Stephen, many family members and friends.
Jim was raised in Pico Rivera and was a noted illustrator and artist. Jim began his career by attending the world famous Chouinard art Institute in Los Angeles California, USA and continued his studies at The Art Center School of Design also in Los Angeles.
Jim served within many organizations such as The Trevor Project, The Alhambra Historical Society; The Society of Illustrators Los Angeles, The Association of Science Fiction & Fantasy Artists. His paintings are in many private collections, galleries and libraries across the world. His art hangs in the company of Frank Frazetta and Michael Whelan to name a few. He illustrated many books including "Building the Classic Physique the Natural Way" by the late Steve Reeves.
His contagious booming laugh and child like gleefulness fueled his art and brought joy to those around him and will live on through his family, friends and artwork.
Funeral mass will be held at Wed October 19th, 10AM at Saint Mariana’s De Paredes 7922 Passons Blvd, Pico Rivera, CA 90660. Burial will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 2161 South Fullerton Road. Rowland Heights, CA 91748
