Bio:

I am a Philadelphia based artist. I graduated May 1997 from the University of Wisconsin in Madison with a Bachelor of Fine Art degree. I recently moved to Philadelphia in the Summer of 2001.

I accept commiss ions. I try to stay flexible in order to paint a variety of subjects. I was the assistant painter on a large mural project when I was a senior at the University of Wisconsin. I have also painted photo backdrops, provided illustrations for publications and I have participated in group and solo exhibitions.

The Art

I am primarily a 2-D visual artist. I most enjoy painting. My preferred medium is oil, but I also use acrylic paint, water based oil paint, gouache, tempera, and water color. I have made art of all sizes ranging from drawings the size of playing cards to an 18 foot long canvas oil painting, and many sizes in between. I really enjoy experimenting with different materials, mediums, surfaces, textures and techniques. I also enjoy drawing with ink and drawing with dry media such as pastels and charcoal. I also use computers to make digital art and to document my non-digital art.
